travel journal: Bușteni

Although I have lived in Romania for all my life, I have never been to the famous Bușteni until last weekend. So now we should digest this shocking piece of information about my life and move on. As I had already stated before, I have been more and more keen on doing new things like travelling to new places and all that jazz. Even though I have little to no free time due to university related work, I still manage to enjoy my spare time in an interesting manner.

Our trip was somewhat planned, but mostly we decided suddenly that we should go for a weekend in Bușteni. It sounded perfect: fresh air, silence and the opportunity to spend quality time with friends. What added more to my experience was the fact that, for me, it was a new place.

We visited the well-known Babele and Ialomița Cave. There are plenty of photos of those on the internet so I am not going to bore you with that; instead I will show you some of the pictures I took during our climb to Babele, and some other extra photos from the trip.

- this is the cabin near Babele, at approximately 2200m -
- above, some shots I took on our way to the cave and below, a view from our climb to Babele -
- did not expect to see snow to be honest -
- the view from our accommodation, exquisite, right! and also a cute cat I meet near our cabin -
and now ladies and gentlemen, I present you the crew
- yes, I am the short one -
thank you for reading & see you next post
