travel journal: Brașov

If you have no idea whatsoever on how to spend some more time with your friend, if you are bored of your dorm room, or if you simply want to visit a new place, I suggest you have a city-break.  My dear roommate and friend, Teo, and I were a little bit out of place. The university had just began and we already felt the need to escape the busy schedule. This is how it began, our little adventure in Brasov. As always, I am not much of a story teller and I am rushing to get to classes, so I will leave some pictures below. travel journal: Vama Veche

Vama Veche is a village in Romania, on the Black Sea coast, near the border with Bulgaria. As much as this may sound as a cliche, Vama Veche is a special place and I completely fell in love with it. Imagine a place functioning by its own unwritten rules. A place where you forgot about the negative things in your life, a place where you can meet a lot of people, a place where you can have amazing food, a place where you can listen to good music, a place where you can get wild and chill at the same time, a place where you forgot about time, about the outside world and last but not least, a place where you can experience an amazing sunrise. This is how I would describe Vama Veche in a few words.  The year that gave some of my worst moments and feelings, the year that made me evolve and grow as a person, that challenged me both intellectually and spiritually is also the year that gave me Vama Veche.
