travel journal: Thessaloniki

Image
During my annual trips to Greece I do not have the occasion to visit too much due to the fact that, it is more like a family trip with its sole purpose being relaxation (standing by the beach, eating local food, sleeping etc.). However, this year we decided on taking a detour through Thessaloniki. We spent half of our day there so, consequently, we did not see every part of this beautiful city. Here it goes. take a pair of comfy shoes and go on the left : the Arch of Galerius Aegean Sea me and my little brother · street view  Hagios Demetrios local deliciousness : dates & freshly made smoothies Ruins of the Roman Forum (Ancient Agora) This is what I could see in such a short amount of time. I will certainly come back as the city has much more to offer. Thank you all for reading an see you next post!

last post & christmas recap

With just one day away from the new and exciting 2015, I thought of doing a post related to how I spent my Christmas this year. This is going to end a beautiful and fulfilling year, 2014. As far as it comes to this blog, 2014 was the year of its birth, and I hope 2015 will be a year of growing and evolving. We shall see. Without further ado I present you my Christmas. decor the lights My motto is: ''You can't have a proper Christmas without lights''.  the tree Decorating the tree is my favorite part of the whole decoration process. I love keeping it simple and adding my favorite globes.  gifts I should probably start by stating that there is no intention of bragging here. Presents are a part of Christmas tradition and as my schedule was so busy, I did not have time to take a few shots of the presents that I personally gave to my friends and family. Therefore, I am going to show you just the gifts that I received. There is not too much to s...

the turtleneck

turtleneck gift // dress ZARA // boots H&M // bracelet Pandora Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope you have an amazing time! I am planning a huge Christmas post, with decorations and gifts I have received, but for now, we have to settle with some shoots I took of one of my holiday outfits. The weather has been pretty forgiving with us this past few days but snow is expected soon. Therefore, I decided to take the car for a quick drive and also take some photos.  My relationship with the classic turtleneck was not as close as it is today. The ''neck'' has always felt a little too conservative for me, and it also made me feel very hot and uncomfortable. Since I received this sweater from my mother as a gift I thought of different ways I could wear it. I have worn it with pants, skirts and it was time I paired it with a dress. I really like the outcome and I even consider buying some more turtleneck sweaters in the future. They are perf...

diy Christmas garland

Image
As you may or may not know, Christmas, and winter holidays in general are my favorite and this is my first year when I actually get to decorate my own and personal room. A post on that is doomed to arrive later this month. For now let's settle with this Christmas garland I made for my nest. It did not turned out as neat as I would've liked but I really enjoy having it on my wall. So here is what I did. //Preparation// Firstly, make sure you have everything you need. I also used a ruler and some tape, which are not shown in the picture above. Then, choose your message and make sure you have enough paper. I went for "MERRY CHRISTMAS" but you can do whatever you prefer. For example, for the red part of the garland, which is the majority of it I used 3 pieces of red paper, 5 letters on each. //The base// one: fold the paper on the middle so that you get something similar to  phase two;  two: measure the paper and split it in 5 pieces, make...
