found a road that led me to Rome

Image
I might become a city break aficionado and since we all have to start somewhere, for this particular trip, I went to the city of seven hills, better known as Rome. Although my stay consisted of only two days, I actually managed to visit many of its landmarks. I will be coming back for sure, considering I did not get the chance to see the Sistine Chapel. The city through my lens is down below. - Altare della Patria - - Il Vittoriano, Rome view from Piazza Venezia - - Exhibitions -   Pablo Picasso Claude Monet - Vatican City - - Colosseum - - Arch of Constantine - - random -  - a cup of coffee from the coziest place, Il Mercato Centrale, my beloved San Pellegrino straight from the source & a bunch of postcards - - & a few other beautiful photos and places that did not make it on the blog -

favorite sweaters

Image
I will skip the part where I say sorry for not posting for a long time. Life at university is busy, I also try to maintain a social life, so I hardly find time to take pictures. As I am currently in my winter holiday, I have decided to show my favorite sweaters that I will be wearing for the last two months of winter, and who knows, maybe March as well. In my opinion a sweater is must when your main goals are comfort and warmth, but it can also be very chic. In terms of color, I have a few neutrals but today I chose to show you some colorful options. Bellow I also added some of my usual outfit pairings. #1 - you can never go wrong with a pair of boyfriend/ripped jeans and a sweater  - #2 - I had to include a full black outfit, because that is what I have been wearing lately - #3 - people always ask me where I got that skirt, but I am usually pairing my tops and sweaters over dresses; it works amazingly - There will be an actual outfit post later this ...

winter recap

Image
Spring has almost landed on our planet. Winter is doomed to be over, and although there are a few traces of it left here or there, we can acknowledge that the weather is getting warmer and the days brighter. This being said, I would like to make a review of my winter using my Instagram  photos and also other pictures I took during these months. December December was nice. We had a snowless Christmas which was not so bad. As you can see I got the chance to decorate my room with beautiful bouquets of roses. I was also the Santa of my classroom, meaning that I was the one who distributed the gifts at the Secret Santa event. One night, coming home from a meditation class, I took a photo of the majestic Christmas tree placed in the central part of the city. January Well, we actually got some snow in January. I was also far more productive when it comes to school and taking photos. On the first pic you can see the not so festive napkins I used when setting...

daring & windy

Stradivarius Boots // H&M Jumpsuit // Stradivarius Bag Here I am with the first outfit post of the year. I have recently purchased these knee high boots on sale, which I absolutely adore. However, I must admit that, for me, it took a little courage to wear them. But, as you can clearly see, I did, and although I love the look, it was actually very windy and cold, when I took the photos, and such a thin jumpsuit was not suitable for the weather conditions. Excuse my hair in the following pictures. The wind was not very good to me. I am always trying to find nice backgrounds for my photo-shoots and this time, I am featuring the cliff of a river.  There is not much to say about my outfit, I was actually planing on having a cup of coffee with a really good friend, my patient photographer, after the photo-shoot. This is my second time wearing the boots and I can not wait to find some new possible pairings for them. Maybe you will see them on the blog again. For now, I let...

last post & christmas recap

Image
With just one day away from the new and exciting 2015, I thought of doing a post related to how I spent my Christmas this year. This is going to end a beautiful and fulfilling year, 2014. As far as it comes to this blog, 2014 was the year of its birth, and I hope 2015 will be a year of growing and evolving. We shall see. Without further ado I present you my Christmas. decor the lights My motto is: ''You can't have a proper Christmas without lights''.  the tree Decorating the tree is my favorite part of the whole decoration process. I love keeping it simple and adding my favorite globes.  gifts I should probably start by stating that there is no intention of bragging here. Presents are a part of Christmas tradition and as my schedule was so busy, I did not have time to take a few shots of the presents that I personally gave to my friends and family. Therefore, I am going to show you just the gifts that I received. There is not too much to s...

the turtleneck

Image
turtleneck gift // dress ZARA // boots H&M // bracelet Pandora Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope you have an amazing time! I am planning a huge Christmas post, with decorations and gifts I have received, but for now, we have to settle with some shoots I took of one of my holiday outfits. The weather has been pretty forgiving with us this past few days but snow is expected soon. Therefore, I decided to take the car for a quick drive and also take some photos.  My relationship with the classic turtleneck was not as close as it is today. The ''neck'' has always felt a little too conservative for me, and it also made me feel very hot and uncomfortable. Since I received this sweater from my mother as a gift I thought of different ways I could wear it. I have worn it with pants, skirts and it was time I paired it with a dress. I really like the outcome and I even consider buying some more turtleneck sweaters in the future. They are perf...

diy Christmas garland

Image
As you may or may not know, Christmas, and winter holidays in general are my favorite and this is my first year when I actually get to decorate my own and personal room. A post on that is doomed to arrive later this month. For now let's settle with this Christmas garland I made for my nest. It did not turned out as neat as I would've liked but I really enjoy having it on my wall. So here is what I did. //Preparation// Firstly, make sure you have everything you need. I also used a ruler and some tape, which are not shown in the picture above. Then, choose your message and make sure you have enough paper. I went for "MERRY CHRISTMAS" but you can do whatever you prefer. For example, for the red part of the garland, which is the majority of it I used 3 pieces of red paper, 5 letters on each. //The base// one: fold the paper on the middle so that you get something similar to  phase two;  two: measure the paper and split it in 5 pieces, make...
